Why Help ICL

One of our goals at ICL is to provide comprehensive and free photography classes
to Inner City Youth. We do this with an active Board of Directors where 75%
participate in the classroom. Additionally, a committed crew of volunteers help as
teachers, planners, and facilitators. We all do this work because we believe in the
value of community education and the value of Photography as a fundamental skill,
relevant to an art based career.

We believe that your financial support is an excellent investment in your community.
All ICL Team members are professionals and artists, excellent in their fields, and
dedicated to the value of human interconnection. On every dollar donated over 85
cents goes directly to teaching materials, such as cameras, film, processing, and
exhibitions.

Don't Just Donate - Show UP!
We always appreciate donations. But we have two fundraisers per year that are
actually fun. You'll see them listed on this page or, if you're on our mailing list, you'll
recieve a notice. Lots of businesses and individuals come together for these
engaging communiuty events.
